Services and Amenities for Your Birthing Needs
We cater to your unique needs. And when you need extra courage, support, reassurance or understanding, we’ve got you. Explore how we’ll support your birth wishes and comfort.
- Birthing Suites
-
When the day finally arrives, our birth centers are ready for the one-of-a-kind needs of you and your baby. We do our best to deliver an amazing experience for moms and their families.
- Certified Nurse Midwives
-
Certified nurse midwives (CNMs) are available at some of our locations. CNMs assist new mothers with personalized care for pregnancy, labor and postpartum concerns. This includes lactation and breastfeeding, infant care and assisting in the new mom’s healing process.
- NICUs for Specialized Care
-
Although we expect each birth experience to be smooth and free of concern, we’re more than prepared for when it isn’t. Every neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) in our AdventHealth network in Colorado is equipped for emergencies and ready to provide personal, loving attention if your little one needs special care.
Our NICU network here in Colorado includes:
- AdventHealth Avista: Level III NICU
- AdventHealth Castle Rock: Level II NICU
- AdventHealth Littleton: Level III NICU
- AdventHealth Parker: Level III NICU
- Birth Classes
-
We look forward to helping you welcome your little one into the world. Whether it’s your first pregnancy or your fifth, our classes will help you prepare for childbirth with tips and tools. We have several educational offerings, from preparing for delivery to breastfeeding to sibling needs.
- Pain Management
-
When it comes to managing pain during labor and delivery, we’re here to support you, whether you prefer an unmedicated childbirth or not. Along with epidurals and IV sedation, we offer a wide range of pain management techniques, from the spa whirlpool to birthing balls and meditative music.
You also can ask your provider about nitrous oxide. Only a few hospitals in the country offer it for pain relief. It’s inhaled through a mask, is painless and has minimal side effects.
- Breastfeeding Support
-
As a breastfeeding mother, you have access to breastfeeding classes and lactation consultants who can support you before your delivery, while at the hospital and after you go home.
A Network of Birth Centers to Welcome Your Little One
When it comes to bringing your baby into the world, we know that choosing the best place — and team — is a big decision. Our AdventHealth hospital network in Colorado means we have birth centers located conveniently close to home.
