AdventHealth Medical Group OB/GYN Hospitalist physicians and certified nurse-midwives are clinical experts in obstetrical care and gynecologic emergencies. Care When You Need It

Since our team focuses on the care of hospitalized patients, they do not have an outpatient clinic. They often partner with community practices to provide coverage and delivery services; however, all follow-up OB/GYN care takes place with your regular OB/GYN provider.

Our OB/GYN Hospitalist physicians and certified nurse-midwives are onsite and available at our Baby Place locations in Altamonte Springs, Celebration, Daytona Beach, Orlando and Winter Park.

If your regular OB/GYN provider can’t be present when you’re in the hospital, we’ll be honored to care for you during your stay. Get to know our experienced team members below.

          • Q:Question: When would an OB/GYN hospitalist perform my delivery?

            A:Answer:

The OB/GYN Hospitalists work at our Altamonte Springs, Celebration, Daytona Beach, Orlando and Winter Park locations. Their 24/7 presence in the labor and delivery unit allows them to be readily available for any urgent needs that may arise.

In a situation where your OB provider cannot make it to the hospital in time, a Hospitalist is always nearby and available. In other circumstances, our team partners with an OB provider’s office directly to provide labor and delivery on behalf of the office. In most cases, your OB practice will tell you whether an OB Hospitalist will perform your delivery. Our OB Hospitalist team are skilled providers who perform both vaginal and cesarean deliveries. Our providers will partner with you to understand your delivery preferences and create a personalized approach to your delivery.

In the event you did not have an OB provider prior to delivery, our team will work with you to develop a care plan for your follow-up care.

          • Q:Question: Can I find out which OB/GYN hospitalist will perform my delivery?
